L'orchestre Kamerata Dakapo

Kamerata Dakapo arises from the constancy and determination to create a chamber orchestra allying excellence and social spirit.
Kamerata Dakapo was born on the 21rst of April 2012, giving shape to its first performance in Asturias (Spain) with the support of the Evaristo Valle Foundation.
In tough social and economical times, only Art can bring strength to an unstable system through comforting the soul and allowing the feeling of unexplainable to express itself ; this is the raison d’être of the orchestra.
Both an academy of professional improvement and a chamber orchestra, Kamerata Dakapo is the only ensemble in Spain to offer an international artistic quality akin to the best European orchestras.
Kamerata Dakapo´s permanent members worked in the Radio Orchestra of Stuttgart, the Marinsky Theatre Orchestra in Saint Petersburg or Salzburg Chamber Soloists. The orchestra is scheduled to collaborate periodically with internationally known soloists and conductors such as Diemut Poppen (solo violist and professor in the High Music School Reina Sofia), Daishin Kashimoto (Leader of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra), Lavard Skou-Larsen (professor at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg and leader of the Salzburg Chamber Soloists Orchestra). Kamerata Dakapo often works with Jean-Bernard pommier.
Kamerata Dakapo’s project is to see music as a means of personal development, an opportunity to envisage solidarity and sociability as a help for healing. With music as part of life and growth for everyone and with the aim to promote musical culture in Spain, the orchestra schedules visits in primary and secondary schools where didactic concerts will be held in order to better introduce the children to styles, composers and the different instruments. We thus hope to spread the seeds of interest and good taste and to increase the general knowledge of future critics and audience.
Our wish is to become an educational model in Spain and a musical reference in Europe. It is also to share with Foundations and Institutions and enjoy mutual support in common involvement and purposes.
